According to the court’s conclusion, the two defendants are accused of corrupting a deputy of the Moldovan Parliament, to convince him to leave the faction he was a member of. On this purpose, the accused persons were to give the PM a bribe worth 250 thousand dollars. Officers of the National Anti-Corruption Centre detained the defendants red-handed while handing over the money in March 2014.

One of the defendants has been wanted ever since April 2016, with the decision pronounced in his absence.
The money, detected and raised during the prosecution of the accused, was confiscated for the state budget. The reasoned sentence is to be pronounced on August 1, 2016.
