Moldovan weather forecasters extend yellow code of heat

Chisinau, 15 July /MOLDPRES/ - The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has prolonged the yellow code of heat by another two days, till 17 July. Initially, the meteorologists’ warning has been valid till today.
SHS data shows that the maximum air temperature at noon will reach +33 Celsius degrees and more. At the same time, weather forecasters said that, on 15-17 July, the exceptional danger of fire in forest strips and agricultural crops will be kept in all regions.
In these conditions, the exceptional danger of fire of the class 5, issued by firemen, remains in force till 16 July.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergency Situations Service, (SPCSE), Diana Turcanu, said that, on this period, “rehabilitation tents will continue acting all over the country. People may come here to drink water and protect themselves from the sun. If necessary, rescuers will provide the qualified first aid, including the medical one,” Turcanu noted.
“SPCSE data shows that, since the beginning of this week, over 12,500 citizens from all over Moldova have come to rehabilitation tents, and about 3,500 - daily,” Turcanu added.
