Chisinau, July 19 /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister Pavel Filip claims that the country project for which he has taken responsibility is European integration, "a project in which we want all Moldovan citizens to live well here, in a country built on European values".
At a TV programme, Pavel Filip said that he was aware of the difficult situation in the country when he took over the government, but he was and is confident that this approach will be successful. "We have one action plan, which is called the European Integration and the government's actions undertaken so far fit in this direction," said the prime minister.
The PM said that the Roadmap agreed upon with the European partners was the best solution, after Brussels had been disappointed by Moldova's unfulfilled promises. "When I went to Brussels I said that I did not want you to trust us according to the promises we made, it would be better to establish commitments put down on paper and be judged by the fulfillment of these commitments," noted Pavel Filip.
The prime minister stressed that "presently, we have over 70% of actions fulfilled in the Roadmap, and in the next few weeks, several projects will be approved and I am sure that we will carry out this Roadmap".
Also, prime minister Filip is convinced that the agreement with the IMF will unlock also funding of other partners supporting the development of Moldova. "I am sure that, in August, we will receive the loan from Bucharest, we will have released money from the World Bank, about 45 million dollars, and here we are also talking about the money from the European Union, amounting to 45-50 million. We are confident that we will receive this money this year," the PM added.
