Moldovan parliament passes increase in sum of child care allowances

Chisinau, 21 July /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today adopted an increase in the sum of child care allowances.
Under the document, “the sum of monthly allowances for taking care of a child up to 1.5 years of age will rise from 440 to 540 lei for uninsured parents starting from 1 August this year.”
“At the same time, the minimum ceiling of the allowance for taking care of a child up to the age of 3 will increase from 440 to 540 lei for insured parents,” the law’s informative mote reads.
The needed additional means for implementing this increase were identified when considering the law on 2016 state social insurances budget.
About 40,000 people will benefit from social allowances.
