Moldovan deputy foreign minister meets parliamentary secretary of Latvian defence ministry

Chisinau, 21 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Lilian Darii, paying a visit to Riga for a round of political consultations, held today a meeting with the Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Latvia Andrejs Panteļējevs, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's information and media communication service has reported.
Deputy Minister Darii expressed appreciation to the Latvian Government for the support offered to the Republic of Moldova in training the National Army within specialized institutions in Latvia and in implementing the Individual Action Plan of Partnership between the Republic of Moldova and NATO, advocating to further promote cooperation in these areas.
The parties, also, expressed the interest to increase cooperation in the field of strategic communication for security and defence, Latvia being one of the model states in this area.
