Moldovan foreign ministry informs on state of alert in Munich, Germany

Chisinau, July 23 /MOLDPRES/ – The Foreign and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) of Moldova informs that, in the context of the incident involving gunmen, held at a shopping center in Munich, Germany, on 22 July, the city authorities have declared a state of alert throughout the city, the MAEIE information and media communication service has reported.

Given that the police presently carry out operations of seizing the perpetrators in the Munich city, Moldova's Foreign Ministry recommends the Moldovan citizens who are in this city to remain vigilant, not to leave their homes without need, monitor the situation via local media sources, take all necessary measures to ensure personal security.

The Moldovan Embassy in Berlin and the General Consulate in Frankfurt am Main are in constant contact with the competent German authorities, in order to get further information on the circumstances of the incident and nationality of the victims, being ready to provide the needed consular assistance.
