Czech Republic to further support course of reforms in Moldova

Chisinau, 26 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Gheorghe Balan today received Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Moldova Zdeněk Krejčí, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
Gheorghe Balan congratulated the Czech official on the appointment to the office of ambassador of the Czech Republic to Moldova and wished him success in the work he is to carry out in Moldova.
The dialogue comprised a wide spectrum of subjects. Emphasis was put on the present stage of the Moldovan-Czech bilateral ties, prospects for extending and strengthening cooperation in sectors of common interest, as well as on the need to promote the continuous dialogue between the two states.
The officials also discussed the Transnistrian problem settlement.
The deputy prime minister informed the ambassador on the results of the activities carried out at the official meeting of the permanent conference on political issues in the Transnistrian conflict settlement process (five-plus-two negotiations), held in Berlin on 2-3 June, as well as on the outcomes of the annual conference, Confidence Building Measures in Transnistrian Conflict Settlement Process, which took place in the German town of Bad Reichenhall on 12-13 July 2016. Balan also informed about developments recorded in enforcing the provisions of the Protocol from the 3 June conference.
Gheorghe Balan said the Moldovan government continued promoting a policy aimed at edifying confidence and getting closer both banks, by promoting dialogue with Tiraspol within all the present platforms, creating optimum conditions for the social and economic development of the settlements from the left bank of Dniester and solving the problems of major interest for the residents.
In the context, Zdeněk Krejčí thanked Gheorghe Balan for dialogue, highlighting the efforts made by Moldova on the way of democratic development and reintegration. At the same time, the ambassador assured that the Czech Republic would further back the course of reforms in Moldova.
