Chisinau, 27 July /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today rejected a simple motion initiated by the MPs of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) against Regional Development and Constructions Minister Vasile Bitca.
The simple motion filed by PSRM reads that “during his work, Mr. Bitca has proved incompetence and failed to achieve all the goals set. We find out that there is no strategic view to ensure the territorial and regional development of Moldova. So far, the plan on national territory arrangement, plans on regions’ territory arrangement have not been approved, and there are practically no district or local arrangement plans in most local public authorities,” the document reads.
“At the same time, the ministry does not coordinate and does not monitor the work in terms of designing construction units, does not carry out the checking or expert examination of projects developed; also does not carry out technical expert examinations of the already existing units, which makes us file this simple motion,” the document also reads.
The regional development and constructions minister turned down the PSRM MPs’ charges. Bitca said that “the ministry’s goals are long-term, a string of projects on modernizing the regional development and constructions sector are underway. At the same time, the feasibility studies for them have been already developed, and EU provided sources to compile task notebooks, with the objective to successfully complete the projects,” Vasile Bitca noted.
“Starting from 2012, social and service dwellings have been constructed in such settlements as: Calarasi, Briceni, Singerei and Hincesti. Such buildings are constructed also in other settlements of Moldova at present. At the same time, the ministry deals with the ceasing of unauthorized constructions and makes every effort to improve the legal framework,” Bitca said.
The parliament rejected the simple motion against Regional Development and Constructions Minister Vasile Bitca, as it failed to get the needed number of votes, with only 22 MPs backing the document.
Also today, the parliamentary majority turned down a motion of censure against the Filip cabinet and a simple motion against Deputy Prime Minister on Social Issues Gheorghe Brega. The Socialists have earlier filed eight simple motions against ministers of the Filip government, all of them rejected by the parliamentary majority.
