Moldovan government approves action plan on reform to modernise public services for 2017-2021

Chisinau, 27 July /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved an action plan on the reform to modernize the public services for 2017-2021; the document sees modernization, diversification and optimizing of the services provided to citizens, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.

The actions provided for in the approved plan regard development of information technologies in the public sector and increase in the number of electronic services. This will ensure a transparent and receptive government for people’s needs.  

At the same time, the authorities are set to remove the obsolete public services, cut the number of documents demanded by citizens, as well as to establish the application of transparent and fair tariffs for the services provided against payment.  

Also, the document, provides for the creation of a single call centre for rendering public services, implementation of a single format for the electronic content signed, no matter its type, and modernization of more services provided to residents, among which the one of assets’ registration, simplifying the process of financial and statistic reporting, as well improving the process of carrying out government procurement.

The action plan ensures the fulfillment of the goals transposed in the public administration reform strategy, earlier okayed by the government, and the objectives set in the government’s action programme for 2016-2018.
