Chisinau, 27 July /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet has approved a note on a draft on amendment and completion of the law on patent or entrepreneur, which provides for “keeping the present legal framework untouched,” and subsequent switch to other legal forms of entrepreneurial activity.
“The draft law proposed by the Finance Ministry provides quite easy terms for the entrepreneurs carrying out their activity on patent basis,” Deputy Prime Minister, Economics Minister Octavian Calmic said.
Thus, the registration will be made by a notification to the mayoralty of the settlement and a registration to the territorial body of the State Fiscal Service, based on an application submitted. The ceiling of incomes from sales will be increased from 300,000 lei to 600, 000 lei annually. The patent holders who register as private entrepreneurs will pay a tax of one per cent of the sales’ incomes, but not less than 3,000 lei early, - a sum smaller than the patent tax. The concerned regime of taxation will be included in the draft fiscal and customs policy for 2017.
The private entrepreneurs will be exempted from local taxes. Moreover, they will get right to practice independent activity for an indefinite period, compared to up to one year in the present variant. Also, the private entrepreneurs will have right to import, retail and wholesale trade.
The cash machines with fiscal memory, which are compulsory for traders, will be purchased from the account of the tax due to be paid.
The patent holders on the last weeks have organized more protest actions against the cancellation of patents for 2017. At the same time, the Economics Ministry organized a string of consultations, including public discussions on this issue.
Presently, 12,000 people work on patent basis in Moldova.
