About 100 Moldovan manufacturers could get right to export fruits to Russian market

Chisinau, 28 July /MOLDPRES/ – The Moldovan fruit exports to the Russian market could be extended. The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Rosselkhoznadzor will examine the data submitted by the Director General of the National Security Agency Food (ANSA) Gheorghe Gaberi, for inclusion of new companies in the list of exporters of fruits.
The ANSA press service states that George Gaberi, who was in Moscow early this week, " presented to the Russian inspection evidence on the orchard surface, estimated production volume offered for export of about 100 manufacturers etc.".
The ANSA Director also informed the Russian authorities about the measures taken by the Moldovan orchardists in ensuring the quality and safety of production.
George Gaberi was part of the Moldovan delegation led by Deputy Economics Minister Vitalie Iurcu, who discussed the issue in Moscow on expanding the volume deliveries of Moldovan goods to the Russian Federation and cancellation of customs duties for them. The delegation included representatives of the Ministries of Economy, Transport and Agriculture. It was taken in preparation for the debate the Moldovan-Russian joint meeting, which has not been convened since 2012 and is expected to take place in Moldova in September.
On the other hand, it has been addressed on expanding the number of wineries that could export production in Russia. The Moldovan delegation received assurances from the experts of Rospotrebnadzor that this list will also include other companies, after their due verification.
The Federal Service on Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation recently announced that 43 companies from Moldova may make exports of fruit and berries on the Russian market. This list was drawn up on the basis of bilateral agreements on cooperation in the regions of Gagauzia and the Russian Federation.
