Chisinau, 28 July /MOLDPRES/ - The draft agenda of the first parliament plenary meeting from each sixth week will contain only issues submitted by the parliamentary opposition, under amendments to the parliament’s regulation, passed by MPs today.
The initial draft was proposed by the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) and provides for establishing a mechanism due to ensure the inclusion and consideration of draft laws or other issues proposed by the parliamentary opposition, as well as organization or plenary meetings clearly focused on discussing these matters.
“For the first plenary meeting of each sixth week since the date when the parliamentary session starts, the standing bureau will compile the draft agenda of the meeting by including only the issues proposed by the parliamentary opposition. At the concerned meetings, the proposals of the non-affiliated MPs from the opposition should account for no more than ten per cent of the draft agenda of the plenary meeting,” the draft law reads.
“The issues that will not be accepted by parliament’s plenum to be included on the agenda, can be repeatedly submitted not earlier than in 30 calendar days,” the document also reads.
