Chisinau, 28 July /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip today participated in the inauguration of an exhibition by a young painter, Nicoleta Vacaru, staged in the government building’s hall, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.

The PM said he was always experiencing feelings of true pride when meeting creative and gifted young people. Pavel Filip appreciated the works exhibited, stressing that they emanated positive energy, and the name of the exhibition, “Emotii” (Emotions) was suggestive.

“Nothing happens in this life without emotions. What Nicoleta is presently doing is a very good combination between thinking and emotion, and the exhibition from the government’s hall is also a suggestion that, when we think of and develop policies and strategies, we should not only put an iron thought at the basis, but should also have an alloy between thinking and emotions, sensitiveness and passion, and then I am sure that we will manage to do great things, important things,” Pavel Filip noted.

For her part, Culture Minister Monica Babuc said that this exhibition was the first one of the string of cultural events, which are to be organized to bring culture to an honourable place at the headquarters of state institutions.

“Here in the government building, people work as in an English machine, work on difficult and serious problems of Moldovan citizens’ lives. Yet, it is also true that one cannot exist without emotions and neither we want the activity of the colleagues from this building to turn into a machinery. We should make a balancing between emotions and quite accurate work,” Babuc said.

Painter Nicoleta Vacaru thanked the authorities for possibility to organize this exhibition and bring a ray of sun in an official building, such as the government building. “Emotion must be every day, especially the positive emotion, so love, respect each other and be children,” the young painter said.

The prime minister congratulated the Culture Ministry for initiative to organize the events on promoting national values at the government building and urged other public authorities to follow this example.

Nicoleta Vacaru is architect by profession and her paintings are appreciated both in Moldova and abroad. So far, the young painter has managed to display her works at exhibitions staged in Moldova, France and Spain.
