Moldovan parliament appoints four members of National Bank's supervisory board

Chisinau, 29 July /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today appointed four members of the Supervisory Board of the National Bank of Moldova (BNM).
The following persons have been appointed as members of the BNM Supervisory Board: Dumitru Ursu (president of Moldova’s Bankers’ League), Alexandru Pelin (jurist, head of the juridical department at the Commercial bank EuroCreditBank stock company), Valeriu Iasan (financial manager at the Implementation Unit of the Assistance Loan provided by Poland’s government) and Vadim Enicov (bachelor of laws, master of economy, director at the consultancy company LegalConsult).
The members of the BNM Supervisory Board were appointed for a seven-year mandate, with possibility to extend it.
Eleven files have been filed to hold this office.
Thus, the body will be made up of seven members in all: BNM Governor Sergiu Cioclea, who holds the offices of president of the Supervisory Board and president of the executive committee, BNM deputy governor Aureliu Cincilei, who is a member of the executive committee, deputy governor of the National Bank a member of the executive committee, Ion Sturzu, as well as the four members appointed by parliament.
The present decision enters into force on the date of adoption.
