Moldovan weather forecasters extend yellow code of heat till 5 August

Chisinau, 29 July /MOLDPRES/ - The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) today extended the yellow code of heat till 5 August, as well as the high danger of fire of forest strips and agricultural crops.
SHS data shows that the maximum air temperature at noon will rise up to 33 Celsius degrees and higher.
Under these circumstances, physicians recommend avoiding long sun exposure in the intervals between 11:00 and 18:00, bearing sun hats, light clothes of light colours, made of natural materials, consumption of about 1.5-2 litres of water per day, avoiding excess of coffee and reducing the intensity and pace of daily activities.
At the same time, firemen urge people to avoid using fire nearby fields with cereals, forest areas, as well as setting fire to dry vegetation and domestic waste.
SHS data shows that this is the tenth yellow code of hot weather issued in this summer period, the last but one being on 22 July.
