Moldovan parliament ends spring session, goes on recess

Chisinau, 29 July /MOLDPRES/ – The parliament on 29 July held its last meeting of the spring session, which started in February 2016.
At the end of the sitting, Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu presented the activity report of the legislative body for the spring session. The official said that, on this period, 36 meetings had been held, during which 201 legislative drafts were passed.
"Among the most important draft laws adopted in this session, there are: packages of laws on fighting corruption, packages regarding prosecution reform, package on integrity, much work has been carried out on packages of banking and energy sectors," said Andrian Candu.
"I should highlight that an important step was the appointment of Mr. Sergiu Cioclea to the office of Governor of the National Bank (BNM). Therefore, I find out the fact that we are on the right track. In the autumn session, we will continue to implement the European agenda for changing the lives of citizens of the country", said Candu.
The MPs will return from recess in next September, when the autumn session begins.
