ODIMM signs cooperation agreements with Romanian partners

Chisinau, 31 July /MOLDPRES/ –The Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises Sector Development (ODIMM) on 30 July signed two cooperation agreements with the Association of Business Incubators and Business Centers from Romania (AICAR) and the Industrial Park from Galati city, Romania.
According to the ODIMM press service, attending the event were managers of nine business incubators of Moldova and representatives of 11 incubators from Romania. Also, 30 resident companies from Romania and Moldova, interested in business contacts, participated in the action.
The event was organized by the Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises Sector Developmentin partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and DAL Consulting from Iasi, Romania. The event's goal was to create a lasting partnership between the two networks of incubators RIAM (Network of Business Incubators from Moldova) and AICAR, both at the level of the management team, and between resident companies, and create opportunities for startups and structures for support and developing business according to European models.
ODIMM CEO Iulia Iabanji said that the signing of the partnership agreement between RIAM and AICAR would help promote business incubators’ role in regional economic development by supporting the creation of new companies and provide support during the launch and market penetration. The source also pointed out that incubators are ODIMM's primary partners in the process of consultancy and business information regarding mechanisms and instruments to support the SMEs sector.
Lajos Vajda, President of the AICAR network, unveiled to the network's members ways of their collaboration and innovative schemes of support in business, used by incubators as tools for expanding relations regionally, nationally and internationally.
Also, participants in the event presented the Europe Enterprise Network (EEN) and points of contact from both countries, which provide more opportunities for business internationalization. In particular, opportunities to create partnerships, possibilities for information and advice on the EU market, organization of brokerage events, training opportunities, as well as support of innovation - transfer of know-how and technologies.
Incubators and Business Centers Association from Romania (AICAR) was established in 2010, to strengthen the role of Business Incubators of Romania and to ensure their long-term sustainability. The mission of the association is to create a national network of incubators and business centers and to set international relations.
Business Incubators Network of Moldova (RIAM) is a cooperation platform, created by voluntary understanding between its members, in order to promote the role of business incubators in economic development and their recognition nationally and internationally. The network was established in 2013, under the ODIMM aegis, as a collaboration platform for nine business incubators located in Soroca, Stefan Voda, Leova, Rezina, Singerei, Dubasari, Nisporeni, Ceadir-Lunga and Cimislia.
The nine business incubators, opened in Moldovan districts, are tasked to create a supportive environment for entrepreneurship, for a quick and lasting development of the concerned firms' business strategies and local economic development, by creating new companies and jobs.
