Chinese business people interested in setting cooperation ties with Moldovan entrepreneurs

Chisinau, 2 August /MOLDPRES/ - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova (CCI) today hosted a delegation of business people from the Chinese province of Jiangsu, who showed interest in establishing cooperation relations with Moldovan entrepreneurs. In particular, economic agents from China displayed interest in importing Moldovan vine products.
The CCI press service said that the Chamber’s president, Sergiu Harea, informed the guests about business opportunities in Moldova, stressing that the Chinese market was important for the export of Moldovan goods.
For his part, the head of the delegation of China, president of the Chamber of Trade and Industry of the Jiangsu province Qi Chang Yu, said that this was his first visit to Moldova and that he wanted that Chinese businesspeople find business partners here. “The Jiangsu province annually imports and exports goods worth about 540 billion dollars. We know that Moldova is an agricultural country, which produces very good wines. We are interested in importing these, as well as other products,” Qi Chang Yu noted.
“To better know the market and the native goods, I invite you to the event “„Fabricat în Moldova” (Made in Moldova), annually held by CCI in February. Products and services from all branches of the national economy are exhibited here, as well as forums, discussions, bilateral business meetings take place,” Sergiu Harea stressed.
The presidents of the two chambers of commerce and industry also discussed prospects for signing an inter-chamber cooperation agreement, which would facilitate the carrying out of joint activities, such as economic missions, exhibitions, projects, etc.
Data by the National Statistics Bureau shows that, in January – May 2016, the trade exchanges between Moldova and China stood at over 133 million dollars.
