Thirteen Moldovan settlements in blackout because of bad weather

Chisinau, 3 August /MOLDPRES/ – Thirteen settlements from six districts were disconnected from electricity supply in the wake of the torrential rains and strong wind from 2 August evening, the Civil Protection and Emergency Situations Service (SPCSE) informed today.
"It is about the districts of Donduseni, Glodeni, Riscani, Drochia, Basarabeasca, Cahul and Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauz -Yeri. To restore electric energy supply, specialized brigades of the electricity distributor are working in the territory. In addition, the bad weather conditions damaged the roof of a house in locality Tintareni, central Anenii Noi district. The territorial commission for emergency situations will establish the material damage recorded," reads a press release by SPCSE.
According to the State Hydrometeorological Service, heavy rains are expected all over Moldova in the next 24 hours. The maximum air temperature will reach 29 degrees Celsius.
