Unused assets of Moldovan industrial parks to be sold by direct talks with their residents

Chisinau, 3 August /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers, at a today’s meeting, approved a string of amendments to the way the assets unused by the enterprises managing industrial parks are established and sold, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
Under the document, the unused assets of the industrial parks can be commercialized by direct negotiations with their residents, i.e. economic agents working within parks and in the rent of which the concerned assets are. According to the draft’s authors, the measure will allow introducing the unused assets in circulation and will ensure their orientation to developing the infrastructure of the industrial park, respectively, increasing investments and creating new jobs.
The talks and the entire process of sale will be organized by a special commission, set up within the industrial park, and the value of the assets subject to sale will be established by a licenced specialist in the sector. At the same time, the initial price of commercialization should not be lower than the one estimated on market.
The financial means got from the sale of assets will be used primarily for paying managers’ debts to the state budget, as well as for investments in developing industrial parks.
Nine industrial parks are working in Moldova, including in the agro-industrial sector, processing and production industry, as well as IT services.
