Moldovan, Japanese officials approach bilateral cooperation

Chisinau, 11 August /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Lilian Darii today met Japanese Ambassador to Moldova Shigeki Sumi, upon the conclusion of his mission to Moldova, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media relations service has reported.
Darii thanked the official for valuable contribution to developing the bilateral relations between Moldova and Japan, especially, as regards the political dialogue, economic and cultural sectors. He highly appreciated Japan’s contribution to Moldova’s development via different assistance programmes in education, agriculture, healthcare, culture, strengthening capabilities of civil servants etc.
Also, the two officials noted that the inauguration of diplomatic missions to Chisinau and Tokyo would boost contacts at high level and cooperation agenda at multiple levels.
For his part, Shigeki Sumi thanked for the Moldovan authorities’ support for successfully carrying out his mission to Moldova and backed the need to boost the political-diplomatic dialogue, trade exchanges and cultural cooperation.
