Moldovan PM asks maximum mobilisation for preparing 25th anniversary of independence

Chisinau, 17 August/MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Pavel Filip said that soon we would mark the 25th anniversary of Moldova’s independence, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The government has earlier approved a national programme of actions dedicated to 25 years of independence, named “Moldova 25”, including a string of actions and events due to be held in 2016, and especially, on the last days of August, respectively on 27 August, Independence Day.
“In this context, the government approved an action programme, composed with participation of the public authorities and civil society. I want to ask you, Mrs. Babuc, for next meeting to unveil a report to see what problems still are and how prepared we are for these events”, he said.
Also, the premier asked the ministers and other heads of public authorities to ensure active participation of institutions in events dedicated to Moldovan diaspora, noting that Moldovans wherever they are, remain citizens of Moldova. Filip referred to the Congress and Business Forum of Diaspora, as well as DOR Programme, due on 20-28 August, at an initiative of the Bureau for Diaspora relations.
“I urge you, cabinet members, to participate in all events due to be held in this period, so that we should have possibility to hold talks, to see problems faced by our fellow citizens of diaspora and to find best solutions to be closer to them. I would like to say them welcome home, welcome to Moldova”, he concluded.
