Chisinau, 18 August /MOLDPRES/- The governmental commission for European integration (CGIE) has convened a new meeting chaired by Prime Minister Pavel Filip, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The main topic on the agenda was focused on the priority actions due to be carried out in the second quarter of 2016, meant to meet the goals set for implementing the EU-Moldova Association Agreement.
Among the priorities of CGIE for the related period is initiating elaboration of a new national programme for implementing the Association Agreement for 2017-2019, given that the document in force expires in late 2016. In this context, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur noted that the process was complex involving consultations with civil society and target groups, as well as with technical team in order to improve the coordination and reporting mechanism.
Filip said that the example of implementing the roadmap on agenda of priority reforms in the first half of 2016 showed that if you work hard through maximum mobilization and effective collaboration between all responsible factors, then the most ambitious goals are met. He asked the CGIE members to further ensure the pace for fully meeting the commitments assumed towards citizens of the country and development partners.
