Chisinau,24 August /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip announced today at the meeting of the Executive that Moldova received the first tranche of 60 million euros in repayable financial assistance offered by the Government of Romania. "This tranche confirms the fact that we realize the reforms announced by us," said PM.
Pavel Filip pointed out that there are some measures left to finalize, which were agreed with the International Monetary Fund and expressed confidence that further success depends on the seriousness in commitments, the eagerness to meet them and the ability to take action with what people want and can.
"We managed to demonstrate in the way we implemented the Roadmap that we are a government of deeds and not of words, because we are government of balance and normalcy, not chaos and corruption. There comes a difficult time. We feel the pressure of election messages, but should stay out of it and do our job as it should be," said the Prime Minister.
The visit to Chisinau on August 25 of the Romanian delegation led by Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos comes amid the release of the first installment, amounting to 60 million euros in repayable financial assistance for Moldova. Unlocking this first tranche was approved by the Romanian Government at the meeting on 3 August, following the finding of results in the implementation of measures taken to this objective by the Republic of Moldova.
