Fruit compensations paid in full in Moldova

Chisinau, 29 August /MOLDPRES/ - The payment of compensation payments for losses to farmers, who suffered from the embargo imposed by the Russian Federation to export in 2014, was completed.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture's press release, which includes data of the Agency for Payments and Intervention for Agriculture (AIPA), total payments are for orders on 109 files, sent for execution at the State Treasury worth 43 million lei.

The Agency for Payments (AIPA) reviewed to compensate the farmers' losses registered as legal entities, which are owners of apple and plum orchards, with a land area of more than 15 hectares.

The first installment, of 10,57 million lei was paid on 17 August to 30 files. Another 10 million lei were transferred to the accounts of farmers on 24 August.

The fund for subsidizing agricultural producers for 2016, allocated financial sources for compensation, amounting 900 million lei this year.
