Moldovan police records over three thousand violations on 5-day rest

Chisinau, 1 September /MOLDPRES/ – More than three thousand law breaches were documented in the Republic of Moldova during the weekend 27-31 August this year, the amount of fines constitutes around 1,3 million lei.
Head Public Relations Service of the General Police Inspectorate, Tamara Procopii, stated for agency that most infringements related traffic infractions.
"It is referred to speeding in traffic (496 offenses), stopping in prohibited places (145 minutes of protocol), failure of the driver of the vehicle to observe road signals (261 records), drinking alcohol in public places (133 verbal lawsuits) and hooliganism (132 proceedings)," said Tamara Procopii.
In the reference period, in Moldova occurred 47 accidents that resulted in eight fatalities and 54 injured. However, drivers on 72 drivers were initiated criminal cases for the driving transport units drunk.
According to government decision, 29-30 August were declared rest days, so budget employees had five consecutive days off, commencing 27 August, Moldova's Independence Day to 31 August - Limba Noastra (Our Language). Days of 29, 30 August will be recovered on 24 September and 22 October 2016.
