Moldovan foreign minister meets Italian counterpart

Chisinau, 1 September /MOLDPRES/ – At the informal meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe which is being held in Potsdam, Germany, Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Galbur, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, met today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International cooperation of Italy, Paolo Gentiloni, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The two officials made the meeting a comprehensive exchange of views on topical issues on the agenda of bilateral relations. They expressed readiness of both sides to increase the exchange of high level visits and deepening economic cooperation. Also, the sides agreed to continue in the nearest future bilateral consultations on finalizing and signing the cooperation agreement in the field of social work. Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Galbur highly appreciated the political support of the Italian Government to Moldova's efforts to modernize and align to European standards.
At his part, Minister of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed Italy to remain a reliable partner for Moldova and expressed support for efforts to enhance dialogue and Moldovan-Italian interaction, as bilaterally, so on multilateral aspects.
