Moldovan premier: Moldova develops if only following European vector

Chisinau, 2 September /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister Pavel Filip today signed the petition to support Moldova's accession to the European Union, launched by civil society representatives within the "Adera Acum" (Join Now), the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
Pavel Filip welcomed society solidarity initiation to support our country’s European integration, stressing that the European Union is an important partner for Moldova, and accession to the European community requires public services of quality, developed infrastructure and good living conditions for citizens. At the same time, the Prime Minister reiterated his appeal, launched in early August this year, on strengthening political forces and society as a whole to guarantee the continuity of the European vector of development of the country.
"I came to sign the petition considering that my example will be followed by other citizens of Moldova, who will join this call. I strongly believe that Moldova will be developed, including economic, maintaining only its European path," said the head of the Cabinet.
Meanwhile, the prime minister said that to build a stable and prosperous Moldova, citizens need a common idea to unite and ensure the country's development. "There must be an idea around which to mobilize the whole society so that citizens, along with the government and Parliament, to pull in the same direction. For Moldova, this direction is the European integration", said Pavel Filip.
The campaign "Adera Acum" (Join Now) is supported by several public associations and aims to inform people about the benefits of European integration, results achieved in the implementation of the Association Agreement, and the opportunities created for each citizen. For campaign opened ten points of information in different Moldova’s regions.
