Two Moldovan presidency candidates require initiative groups' registration

Chisinau, 5 September /MOLDPRES/ – Two more Moldovan presidential candidates claimed today the Central Election Commission (CEC) registration of initiative groups to support them.
According to the CEC's press service, it is referred to Ilie Rotaru and Vitalia Pavlicenco – independent candidates.
Within three days from the receipt of the documents submitted, CEC will verify the accuracy of the requests and decide on registration or refusal of registration of the initiative groups.
The period for submitting applications for initiative groups' registration to support candidates for head of state position will end on 9 September.
Earlier, CEC registered initiative groups to collect signatures in support of 14 candidates in the presidential election. They are: PSRM – Igor Dodon, PDM – Marian Lupu, PL – Mihai Ghimpu, PPEM – Iurie Leanca, Partidul Platforma Demnitate si Adevar (Party Platform Dignity and Truth) – Andrei Nastase, Partidul Actiune si Solidaritate (Action and Solidarity Party) – Maia Sandu and Partidul Nostru (Our Party) – Dmitri Ciubasenco. Also, PDM candidate Marian Lupu, has submitted already to CEC lists containing signatures collected in his support.
