Doctor is Ravnopravie party candidate for Presidency in Moldova

Chisinau, 7 September /MOLDPRES/ - Doctor Ina Popenco was today appointed as candidate for the presidential elections of 30 October this year on behalf of Ravnopravie (Equality) social-political movement .

The decision was taken on 7 September by the National Political Council of the party. "Following consultations with the citizens of Orhei, we decided to promote Mrs. Ina Popenco as a candidate in presidential elections this autumn. We need a head of state from the people who knows the problems from the inside and which will work for people", said Honorary President of the movement Ravnopravie Valeriu Climenco.

"This nomination is a huge responsibility for me. We all know that it is very difficult to survive in Moldova, however I believe that our country can have a bright and prosperous future. I promise I will not disappoint," said Popenco.

Ina Popenco is a doctor by profession. She studied at the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Nicolae Testemitanu" and has worked for ten years at the Orhei District Hospital.

Since the beginning of the election period, 16 candidates were registered in the presidential elections. These include: Marian Lupu - PDM, Mihai Ghimpu - PL, Igor Dodon - PSRM, Iurie Leanca - PPEM, Andrei Nastase - Partidul Platforma Demnitate și Adevar (Party Platform Dignity and Truth), Maia Sandu - Partidul Actiune și Solidaritate (Action and Solidarity Party) and Dmitri Ciubasenco - Partidul Nostru (Our Party).
