PM approaches new draft Association Agenda Moldova-EU

Chisinau, 8 September /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Pavel Filip chaired an ordinary meeting of the governmental commission on European integration (CGIE) on 7 September, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The participants in the meeting reviewed the important actions on implementing commitments assumed in the European integration process, especially, tackling issues related to the current stage of Moldovan-EU dialogue, namely: preparation for talks on new draft Association Agenda Moldova-EU.
Thus, CGIE members took note of proposals submitted by the relevant institutions to be included in the draft agenda. Also, in the context of preparation for elaboration of national plan on implementing Association Agreement 2017-2019, they decided to merge it with the annual plan on legislative harmonization.
Also, they discussed evolutions in implementing calendar of legislative backlog, analyzing the issues focused on meeting all commitments in this respect.
Filip said that the authorities had met the commitments assumed for the first half of 2016, including by carrying out the provisions of the roadmap on priority actions of reform, recognized by European partners. At the same time, the premier warned that a period with greater responsibilities was following.
