Deputy prime minister discusses on tax breaks zones' partnership with Chinese associates

Chisinau, 8 September /MOLDPRES/ – Establishing collaboration between special economic zones and industrial parks in Moldova and Chinese province of Guizhou and initiating bilateral investment projects were examined today in China by Deputy Prime Minister Octavian Calmic, Minister of Economy, with the nominated region leadership of areas with tax breaks.
According to the Press Service of the ME in the talks the interlocutors exchanged experiences on the work of free economic zones and industrial parks in both countries, simplification of administration and trade facilitation through FEZ and PI etc.
The Minister of Economy presented to Chinese partners opportunities, tax concessions and industrial sites offered by Moldova through free economic zones and industrial parks for companies interested in initiating investment projects, etc.
Referring to the development of bilateral partnership, Octavian Calmic said that there are all prerequisites for initiating sustainable collaboration between areas with tax breaks of both countries, making use of effective trade regimes of Moldova provided both by Association Agreement Moldova-EU and the Comprehensive and Deep Free Trade Zone between Moldova and EU (DCFTA), as well as the Free Trade with CIS.
Deputy Octavian Calmic undertakes on 8–10 September, a working visit to China, where he planned talks with government representatives in Beijing, Guizhou Province, as well as representatives of Chinese companies operating in energy, IT , construction and agriculture, interested in implementing investment projects in Moldova.
In China, Minister of Economy will participate in the work of the VIth edition of the International Exhibition of alcoholic beverages, organized by the Ministry of Commerce jointly with the Guizhou Provincial Government and the World Summit of wine producers. During these events the Minister Octavian Calmic will represent the country, the investment climate and opportunities in Moldova under Association Agreement with EU.
