Moldovan foreign minister participates in European Council Action Plan meeting for democratic reforms in Moldova

Chisinau, 12 September /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Andrei Galbur, today participated in the Steering Committee’s second meeting for final evaluation implementation of the Council of Europe Action Plan on supporting democratic reforms in Moldova for 2013-2016, held in Chisinau at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The inaugural session event attended the Head of the parliamentary commission for foreign policy and European integration, Chief of the Moldovan delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Valentina Buliga.
At the meeting, representatives of the Council of Europe and national institutions had an exchange of views on the impact of ongoing and completed projects and pointed out the following actions and priorities to be included in the new Moldova-Council of Europe Action Plan.
In his speech, the head of the Moldovan diplomacy referred to the impact of implementing assistance projects, the need to improve national coordination mechanism of legislative expertise provided by the Council of Europe, the prospects for strengthening human rights protection at national level.
