Hungarian National Assembly's speaker to visit Moldova

Chisinau, 13 September /MOLDPRES/ - Reforms’ agenda, political developments in Moldova and priorities of the Moldovan parliament’s autumn session were the main subjects discussed at a meeting between Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu and Foreign Minister of Hungary Péter Szijjártó, on a visit to Chisinau, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
”Speeding up implementation of the Association Agreement, fulfilling the preconditions of IMF and carrying out the needed reforms, especially the postponed ones, in the financial and banking sectors, justice, energy sector – these are the priorities of the parliament’s autumn session,” Candu noted.
The parliament speaker also said that President of the Hungarian National Assembly László Kövér would visit Moldova next week.
For his part, the foreign and commerce minister of Hungary praised the progress made by Moldova by implementing about 90 per cent of the measures and commitments seen in the Roadmap on the priority reforms’ agenda, signed by the parliament and government. The official encouraged the parliament to press ahead with the reforms, in conditions of political stability in Moldova and reiterated Hungary’s support for the country’s European integration. In the context, Péter Szijjártó expressed Hungary’s interest to finance investment projects in Moldova, noting willingness for a crediting line of 70 million euros for Moldovan enterprises.
