Chisinau, 14 September /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister Pavel Filip in the beginning of a today's cabinet meeting, said that he would try to keep the Government away from the election campaign. "We have a very important objective, -  the programme with the International Monetary Fund (IMF); therefore, our election campaign represents getting programme with IMF," the prime minister noted.

The PM said he did not want in any way "to lose two months, because if we get involved in the election campaign, the government will no longer be working effectively. But we face a very important goal, the programme with IMF;  that is why,  for me personally and for you, the entire cabinet, our election campaign represents obtaining the programme with IMF."

The prime minister said that he agreed in detail on this with IMF, with parliamentary majority. "I have set daily, hour by hour the way we progress, so that we have approved a program with the Fund in next October. I want to assure everybody that all preconditions and measures agreed with IMF will be implemented in due time, exactly just how we planned, even if some of them are not so quite popular," said Pavel Filip.

"Anyway, we will achieve them, even if we will be criticized by some politicians or political parties, as actions or reforms to be carried out are not always popular, yet, I am personally not set to build my political future, I am ready to assume all the political costs and to work here at Government, and carry out these reforms in such a way, so that after our mandate, Moldova can no longer be got back from the path of modernization and development," said Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
