Moldovan PM to participate in UN General Assembly

Chisinau, 14 September /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip will participate in the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly, due in New York on 19 – 23 September, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.

The participants in the Assembly will consider the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, adopted by the organisation’s member states, as well possibilities to transpose them nationally. At the same time, the participants in the event will approach challenges faced by the international society, including the fight against violence and terrorism acts, combating poverty and keeping peace worldwide.

The prime minister will also have a string of bilateral meetings to discuss possibilities of boosting diplomatic relations and diversifying cooperation in sectors of common interest.
