Moldovan PM introduces new government secretary general to State Chancellery employees

Chisinau, 15 September /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip today introduced new Government Secretary General Lilia Palii to the staff of the State Chancellery, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The prime minister noted that Lilia Palii had the needed qualities and capacities to mobilize the team and achieve the goals set. At the same time, Filip thanked Tudor Copaci for the work carried out as head of the State Chancellery, stressing that he would continue acting as a member of the government’s team.
“The results achieved so far have changed things in Moldova, changed the attitude of the people towards this government and the way the work is done. Now, we should focus on Moldova’s development to change the things radically,” the PM said.
At the same time, Pavel Filip referred to priorities of the cabinet and directly to the reform of the State Chancellery, which should become a more efficient and functional structure. “Our priority is the public administration reform, on all dimensions, either we speak about the central one, or we refer to the functional modernization of the public administration, and what’s more important – the territorial and administrative reform. This must be starting point in the government’s work, as the local public administration reform would mean a vision on Moldova’s architecture, how should our country look like,” the prime minister added.
For her part, Lilia Palii thanked the prime minister for the confidence provided, stressing that she relied on colleagues’ support in attaining the goals established. “The objective I set is to enhance the prestige of the State Chancellery as public institution and centre of the government. I will put emphasis on professionalism, quality, efficiency and modernizing the institution,” the newly-appointed government’s secretary general said.
