Moldovan foreign minister attends meeting of CIS foreign ministers' council

Chisinau, 16 September /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur participated in a meeting of the Commonwealth of Independent States foreign ministers’ council in Bishkek, the Kyrgyz Republic, today, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media relations service has reported.
The participants in the event considered a string of current issues on the agenda of the organization, including the ones due to be discussed at a meeting of heads of state. In particular, the subjects are focused on fighting terrorism and other violent manifestations of extremism, combating offenses committed by using information technologies, promoting interaction in the cultural and humanitarian fields and others.
Moldova has signed nine documents, among which it is worth mentioning the ones on CIS adaptation to contemporary realities, the 70th anniversary of the completion of the Nuremberg trials, declaring the year of 2017 as Family Year and 2018 – Culture Year in CIS, cooperation programme on fighting criminality committed by using the information technologies for 2016-2020, cooperation in humanitarian sector.
