PM to represent Moldova at 71st session of UN General Assembly

Chisinau, 19 September /MOLDPRES/ - A delegation of Moldova led by Prime Minister Pavel Filip on 19-23 September takes part in the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly, held in New York, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The agenda of the visit to the United States by PM Pavel Filip includes participation in multilateral events within the 71st session of the UN General Assembly, as well as bilateral meetings with world leaders and high officials of different countries.
At the same time, other Moldovan delegation members will participate in diverse international events, among which: meetings of the Foreign Ministers of the member states of the South East European Cooperation Process, Central European Initiative, meeting of the heads of the diplomacies of the GUAM (Organisation for Democracy and Economic Development) states – USA, as well as in an OSCE high-level event dedicated to civilian forces’ crisis and OSCE’s capacities as implementer of the Chapter VIII of the UN Charter.
On 23 September at about 11:00, (U.S. local hour; 18:00 Moldova’s hour) Prime Minister Pavel Filip will give a national speech within the high-level segment of the 71st session of the UN General Assembly.
