Speaker of Hungarian National Assembly to visit Moldova

Chisinau, 19 September /MOLDPRES/ - Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly (parliament) László Kövér will pay a visit to Moldova on 20-22 September, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The visit’s agenda includes meetings with Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu, President Nicolae Timofti, as well as Bishop of the Chisinau-based Diocese of the Roman-Catholic Bishopric Anton Cosa. Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly László Kövér will also meet Deputy Parliament Speaker Liliana Palihovici and the head of the Moldovan parliament’s group of friendship with Hungary, Radu Mudreac.
The visit will start with laying flowers at the Eternitate (Eternity) memorial venue.
On 22 September, László Kövér will visit the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia. In Comrat, the Hungarian parliament speaker will have a meeting with the region’s governor, Irina Vlah, the head of the popular assembly (local parliament), Dmitrii Constantinov, Comrat mayor Serghei Atanasov and will visit the Comrat State University.
The visit takes place in the context of a Moldovan parliament’s initiative to strengthen the parliamentary dialogue with European legislative bodies in the process of speeding up the implementation of the Association Agreement and Moldova’s rapprochement with the European Union.
