Moldovan deputy foreign minister meets OSCE Secretary General

Chisinau, 21 September /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Lilian Darii met OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier on 19 September, in the context of participation in the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
According to the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media relations service, the agenda of talks was focused on considering challenges faced by the security environment in the OSCE area and respectively, perspectives of negotiations in the five plus two format.
In this context, Darii pointed out the need to boost the efforts for identifying a viable and comprehensive solution to the Transnistrian problem by elaborating a special legal status for Transnistria respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova. In the context, he expressed satisfaction with the active cooperation between Moldova and OSCE, at the same time, underlining the important role of mediator of this organization in the conflict settlement process.
