Moldovan deputy foreign minister attends roundtable in Latvia

Chisinau, 21 September /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Daniela Morari today participated in a roundtable on Eastern Partnership one year after Riga Summit, views of Latvia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, held in Riga, Latvia, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media relations service has reported.

The event’s agenda provided the opportunity to carry out exchange of opinions about cooperation within the Eastern Partnership, being approached main achievements of the three signatory states of the Association Agreement, as well as perspectives for developing cooperation between partners.

Morari presented the actions taken as regards the reform agenda of Moldova, and reiterated the importance for efficiently implementing the EU-Moldova Association Agreement for entire process of modernizing the country.

Referring to the possibilities to consolidate the partnership, the Moldovan official pointed out the need to promote concrete projects within the Eastern Partnership, which would have direct impact on citizens.

Morari had meetings both with the director-general of the Bilateral Relations Directorate at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia, Margers Krams, Latvian Foreign Ministry’s State Secretary Andreijs Pildegovics and Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Gigi Gigiadze. The officials expressed their common interest in deepening the bilateral political dialogue both at high level and at level of experts, as well as boosting the cooperation al multilateral level within the Eastern Partnership.
