Chisinau, 28 September /MOLDPRES/ – At the beginning of Executive’s today meeting, Pavel Filip talked about the motion of censure filed by a group of MPs, following the decision of the Government to engage the liability of the seven major laws, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.

"It is an electoral populist approach that ignores the people's interest. This package of seven laws that we assumed responsibility for means some very important laws and I should like people to know that these laws beyond their importance for Moldova, also represent some of the International Monetary Fund’s preconditions. Hereafter, if we are to make a game of logistics, you tell everyone what an IMF program approved in October is, that would mean almost $ 25 million from the International Monetary Fund, $ 45 million from World Bank and about 55 million Euros from the European Union," the prime minister said, explaining the importance of these decisions.

The prime minister also said that the relevant decisions were coordinated with both the parliamentary majority and with the development partners. Thus, even the decision which intends to issue bonds in connection with the debt of the three liquidated banks, would cost about 750 million lei, or external funding which will be opened following the adoption of the legislative package and will greatly exceed this amount to be over 3 billion lei.

The prime minister expressed confidence that the government would pass over as well this second motion of censure too, and would continue implementing reforms needed for Moldova's development.
