Chisinau, 3 October /MOLDPRES/ - The investment opportunities, stimuli existing in promotion of exports from Moldova, the trade regimes the country has both with the European Union and the Commonwealth of Independent States member countries, as well as the investment climate and access to financing will be the principal subjects of the forum, Moldova Business Week 2016, due to be held in Moldova on 4-7 October.

“The forum’s agenda includes a string of events and presentations due to take place both in Chisinau and the regions. We try to use these platforms of business incubators existing in different districts, in order to include them in this circuit of presenting the investment opportunities, of stimuli existing in promoting Moldovan exports, of the commercial regimes Moldova has both with the European Union and the CIS member countries, as well as the investment climate and access to financing,” Deputy Prime Minister, Economics Minister Octavian Calmic told a today’s news conference.

A project financed by the European Union, Women in Business, will be launched. In the next years, the project will benefit from a string of financial resources for women willing to start and develop business, the minister also said.

According to Calmic, the access to financing is one of the constraints to developing business; therefore, it will be one of the subjects tackled at meetings locally and nationally. “We are confident that, after signing the agreement with International Monetary Fund, a string of programmes on financial support will be made available to enterprises, most on behalf of EU, and the situation will be entirely different in 2017 against the one from previous years in this respect,” Calmic stressed.

“We have great expectations, on the one hand, in the investments sector, on the other hand, through funds from the budget and development partners, which will be made available to entrepreneurs to start business and develop it,” the minister added.

A string of events are to be organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, European Business Association, American Chamber of Commerce from Moldova, Investments Attraction and Export Promotion Organization, Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises Sector Development.

The forum Moldova Business Week is at its fourth issue.
