Moldovan PM welcomes healthy competition on drug market

Chisinau, 5 October /MOLDPRES/- The government opts for ensuring favorable work conditions for pharmaceutical companies, so that the competition should generate the best offers to pharmaceuticals for citizens. Prime Minister Pavel Filip made the statement on 4 October at an event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of RihPanGalFarma company, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The premier congratulated employees of the enterprise for their activity and thanked for their contribution to developing healthy society. At the same time, he said that the enterprise represented a successful history of activity of foreign investors in Moldova, and the government would further support in carrying out projects that meet the needs of citizens.
“During activity, you have given proof of seriousness, responsibility and openness for the medical system and patients suffering from different diseases. At the same time, you managed to ensure necessary conditions for drug delivery and I am referring to quality and safety,” he said.
At the same time, the premier welcomed the enterprise’s initiative to launch along with foreign partners a line for drugs production in Moldova. In the context, Filip tackled the measures taken by the cabinet to facilitate the activity of the business environment. “Moldova needs foreign investors and it will know how to treat them, so that all of us will win: citizens – new jobs, you – profit, and state – accumulated taxes,” he concluded.
“RihPanGalFarma” Joint Venture was set up in 1996 and represents one of the first distribution pharmaceutical companies in Moldova. It has two pharmaceutical warehouses and 75 drugstores, where over 500 people are operating.
