Moldovan meteorologists forecast sharp weather change

Chisinau, 5 October /MOLDPRES/ - The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has informed about a Yellow Code of sharp weather change for 5-8 October.
According to SHS forecasts, the weather will change on the aforementioned period. Rains are expected, heavy in some regions (15-20 litres per one square metre) on 8 October.
The daily average air temperature will drop by 5-6 Celsius degrees. Frost of -2 degrees is forecast for 6-7 October.
According to specialists, the weather conditions provided for by the Yellow Code are potentially dangerous, with the forecast weather phenomena (sudden showers, thunderstorm rains, wind gusting, high or low temperatures, risks of increase in levels of rivers and creeks, etc.) being usual for Moldova; yet, sometimes they might become dangerous for certain social and economic activities.
At the same time, more specialty portals of the world today issued information, according to which the 2016-2017 winter will be the coldest one of the last century. German meteorologist Dominik Jung is one of those saying that we will face an unusually cold winter. Jung notes that the lowest air temperatures will be recorded in January and February and March will not look like a spring month at all.
