Romanian president awards orders to Moldovan teachers

Chisinau, 5 October /MOLDPRES/ - Romanian Ambassador to Moldova Daniel Ionita today handed awards conferred by Romanian President Klaus Iohannis to teachers from the left bank of Dniester, on the occasion of the World Teachers’ Day.
According to the press service of the Romanian Embassy in Chisinau, the headmaster of the Stefan cel Mare lyceum from Grigoriopol, Eleonora Cercavschi, was awarded the Order „Meritul pentru Învățămînt” (Merit for Education) in the Commander degree, as a token of high valuing for significant contribution brought to promoting democracy in Moldova and strengthening the community of language and civilization on both banks of the Prut river.
Also, the president of Romania awarded the Order Merit for Education in Officer degree to the headmaster of the Evrika lyceum from Ribnita, Eugenia Halus, and the headmaster of the gymnasium from Corjova, Constantin Sucitu, as a token of high valuing for significant contribution brought to promoting democracy in Moldova and consolidating the community of language and civilization on both banks of the Prut river.
The World Teachers’ Day is annually marked on 5 October.
