Final order of registration of candidates for president position in ballot paper established

Chisinau, 7 October /MOLDPRES/- The enrollment order of the candidates for president position in the ballot paper was reorganized, after four electoral contenders were registered by the Central Election Commission (CEC), and other four were rejected on 6 October.
The head of CEC press service, Rodica Sirbu, said “after CEC has registered only four out of eight candidates who submitted the documents, not registered competitors are falling from previously established order, and those enrolled in the electoral race are repositioning in the ballot paper,” Sirbu said.
Following the changes, the ballot paper looks like this: Marian Lupu (PDM) – 1, Mihai Ghimpu (PL) – 2, Iurie Leanca (PPEM) – 3, Andrei Nastase (PPDA) – 4, Inna Popenco (Ravnopravie) – 5, Dumitru Ciubașenco (PN) – 6, Maia Sandu (PAS) – 7, Igor Dodon (PSRM) - 8, Silvia Radu (independent candidate) – 9, Maia Laguta (independent candidate) – 10, Ana Guţu (Right Party) – 11 and Valeriu Ghileţchi (independent candidate) - 12.
At the same time, six out of the 12 candidates have already launched officially in the election campaign, and other six are to do it.
On 30 October 2016, direct presidential elections will take place in Moldova.
