Almost 1,500 economic agents from 13 countries participate in Moldova Business Week 2016 forum

Chisinau, 7 October /MOLDPRES/ – Over 1500 companies, public and private sector representatives from 13 countries attended Forum "Moldova Business Week 2016" which ended its work today. "It was a major event, a forum is one of the major economic events of the year", said Deputy Minister of Economy Vitalie Iurcu in a press conference.
"The major Forum’s tasks – to promote the country's image abroad, attract foreign investments in the national economy, development of partnerships between local and foreign companies – have been achieved," said the deputy minister. The Forum became "a true discussion platform between public circles, private sector and diplomatic corps," added the official.
Investors and companies’ representatives from Romania, Italy, Ukraine, Turkey, Belarus, China, Kazakhstan, Latvia, the Russian Federation and other countries attended the Forum.
"We plan to organize similar events twice a year. One probably will be in the spring and another in autumn, so that we can continue the dialogue between businesses in order to create more favourable environment for business development," Vitalie Iurcu said. The deputy minister added that Forum is expected after a series of investments that will be completed by the end of 2016 or will be launched in 2017. In this context, Iurcu announced that on 15 October, in Straseni sub-zone, an Italian company will launch the electrical wiring production with an investment of 20 million euros.
The director of Moldova Investment and Export Promotion Organization Vitalie Zaharia, said that "Moldova Business Week 2016" Forum aroused great interest on behalf of foreign investors, foreign companies and the local ones, as confirmed by the large number of participants and signing of several partnership agreements.
The third edition of "Moldova Business Week 2016" Forum took place on 4 – 7 October, 2016.
Partners in organizing the "Moldova Business Week 2016" were the Businessmen Association of Moldova, Organization for SME Development, Agency for Tourism, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova, European Business Association, American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova.
