Hungary opens credit line for Moldovan economic agents

Chisinau, 13 October /MOLDPRES/- Via the Hungarian Export-Import Bank (Eximbank), Hungary has opened a credit line amounting to 61.53 million euros for Moldovan economic agents, who have common projects with the partners from this country and need financing.
According to the Economics Ministry’s press service, Eximbank Deputy Chief Executive Officer Andras Puskas said the credits were offered for all the fields, and payment in advance for partners from Moldova represented 15 per cent, and other 85 per cent was to be credited upon request by both partners from Moldova and Hungary. He also noted that the interest rate for credit was set after examining each application representing up to 2.5 per cent annually.
Attending the meeting, Vice President of the Hungarian Investment and Trade Agency Istvan Papp and head of the Hungarian Investment and Trade Agency for Western Europe Victor Berki presented Hungary’s experience in promoting export and attracting investments, as well as the functional structure of institutions involved in the relevant field.
Deputy Economics Minister Vitalie Iurcu said this credit line was a real support for economic agents from Moldova, who had economic relations with partners from Hungary and would contribute to developing the bilateral cooperation between the two states in economy and to initiating new cooperation projects.
Under data by the State Registration Chamber, 59 enterprises with Hungarian capital are operating in Moldova, investments being estimated at 90 million lei.
